How it works
A decision, not a directory.
The main fuel result is the eligible stop with the highest WorthStop Score, combining price, detour and price update age. The dollar estimate separately compares the purchase, detour fuel and any time value you explicitly enable. Saving a favorite never improves its rank.
WorthStop price averages
WorthStop selects the latest eligible station price for each grade from its current California database. Statewide, regional, county and city averages are rebuilt after every successful statewide collection, with data-through time and sample size shown on each page.
Estimated trip cost
The dollar estimate compares the latest WorthStop price selected for each stop, the fuel used by the detour and the trip settings you enable. Results show when each WorthStop price was updated.
WorthStop Score
The 1–100 Score ranks eligible stops within one trip: price contributes up to 70 points, detour up to 20 and price update age up to 10. Prices updated within 12 hours receive all 10 freshness points; that component then declines. Freshness can change the recommendation but does not change the dollar estimate. A cheaper pump price alone does not guarantee the highest Score.
Fuel and EV
Fuel results compare eligible price observations along the route. EV Beta compares one compatible charging stop and does not yet perform battery-aware multi-stop planning or claim live port availability.
Before you stop
Posted prices, opening hours, charger availability and tariffs can change. Verify final conditions before leaving your route.
